The Shortcut to Making the Perfect Meaty Spaghetti Sauce

It’s not as hard as you think to make the perfect meaty spaghetti sauce. You simply need is a few ingredients to create a delicious sauce your family or guests will enjoy.

First, the meat - I use ground beef but you can use other kinds of meat such as pork, chicken or other meats depending on your preference. Brown your meat in a pan and drain the fat.

Onto the sauce - You can buy a store brand spaghetti sauce which is plain or with your preferred ingredients and spices. Alternatively, you can make your own sauce using a can of sliced tomatoes, some diced garlic cloves, oregano, parsley coupled with spices and seasonings from your spice rack. You can also use fresh spices.

If you are using store brand spaghetti sauce, you can step it up by adding fresh diced garlic, olive oil and some spices you’ve selected. This will transform that off-the-shelf store brand sauce into your own unique sauce.

When the meat has been browned and the sauce is heated, combine meat with the sauce. Simmer on low for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavours to blend together and serve hot with your spaghetti or other pasta.

One final tip - Do experiment with various ingredients and other spices to create your perfect spaghetti sauce.
